This year in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, BA Cup, Soccer in Sun, and San Diego Soccer Women will host an adult and youth soccer tournament with over 1000 players from Argentina, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Peru, & USA. Everyone will have the opportunity to show their style of play and have fun, while sharing their culture and traditions both on and off the soccer field.
In the following document, you will find information to prepare and plan for the tournament, including the services that BA Cup and the Barcelo Bavaro Palace have to offer. Additionally, please take note of the recommended packing lists and other items you will need to bring to the tournament.

Mandatory requirements:
- Jerseys – Bring 2 sets of uniforms or 1 uniform and bibs.
- Cleats for natural grass. No metal studs.
- Shin guards.
- Balls: All teams must bring balls to use at practice and for warm up sessions (BA CUP only provides balls during the official tournament matches).
- Passport.
- Please read the tournament rules and the cup´s schedule.
- Identification Wristband – We provide a wristband to each participant who has purchased the BA Cup package. To access the field and transportation, wearing the wristband is required throughout the tournament. It is valid for 1 week and must not be removed or cut from the wrist during this period.
IMPORTANT SUGGESTIONS TO KEEP IN MIND:
- Bring your team´s flag and/or your country´s flag.
- Bring clothes to use between games.
- Bring towels to use in the locker rooms. (You may not bring the rooms towels to the field).
- Bring swimming gear.
- Bring a camera.
- Bring a power adapter if needed. Punta Cana uses 110 voltage.
- Bring a notebook and pens to take notes during the soccer clinics if attending.
- Bring sunscreen. (Also available to purchase in the gift shop)
HOTEL INFORMATION

The many culinary alternatives include 12 restaurants, from which to choose (8 require reservations). The water activities, state-of-the-art U-Spa, water parks and shopping mall with 40 stores make it possible for guests to enjoy the ultimate Caribbean vacation.
Check-in is 3pm.Anyone arriving prior to 3pm will be registered and given a bracelet to access the hotel restaurants and amenities. You will be able to use the showers at the spa if needed.
Check-out is 12pm. Each person is required to check-out of his or her room by 12pm. You will still receive access to the hotel’s restaurants and amenities until 6pm on check-out day.
Note: You can store your luggage before check-in or after check-out at the luggage stand. Typically, hotel staff will deliver your bags to your room. While tipping is optional and based on the quality of service, a tip of $1 to $2 is generally considered appropriate.
Check-in at the Reception: Please have your passport ready, as it will be scanned. Additionally, we will request an email address and your signature on the registration card, which indicates that all your information is confidential, as well as providing information about the services offered by the hotel.
Wristbands will be placed at the time of check-in and must be worn throughout your stay until departure. Alteration or replacement of wristbands will incur an additional charge.

SOCCER FIELDS
The BA Cup experience takes place at the professional soccer and baseball fields located at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Hotel. All adult soccer games will take place at this field.
MANDATORY COACHES MEETING
DATE: Thursday, February 26th
TIME: 6:30pm
LOCATION: Soccer field
*BA Cup requires one representative per team to attend this mandatory meeting to review the tournament rules and regulations, fair play, and team expectations.
WATER
Water will be available at the fields for players. Please bring your bottle to refill as needed.
MEDICAL ATTENTION
The hotel has a 24-hour medical service. BA Cup will have a private paramedic at the soccer fields during games. All teams must have medical insurance and/or an insurance for personal injuries that is active and updated to cover your participation in this trip. Each participant is responsible for all medical expenses during the trip. Including but not limited to all recreational and sport activities during the trip. Moreover, each participant must certify that he/she is in good health conditions to participate in all sporting and recreational activities planned during your stay.

Please join us on February 26th at 8:00pm at the Salón Bávaro 2-3-4 located in the Barcelo Bavaro Beach Convention Center at the ADULTS ONLY PROPERTY. We will enjoy an open bar, appetizers, and an exciting show to get the party started!
LAUNDRY
The hotel has a laundry service which typically takes 24-48 hours. Daily laundry service is included free of charge for team uniforms only. Please fill out the form in your room and call “0” to arrange laundry pick up.

TIPPING
Tipping is not mandatory, but appreciated. We recommend bringing small bills in USD to tip hotel staff (bartenders, bell boys, waiters, etc.) per your discretion.
LOCAL CURRENCY
The approximate current currency exchange is of 1 U$ dollar = 62 Dominica Pesos.
SAFETY
Punta Cana is a safe area, but you should take normal precautions. We recommend keeping valuable items out of sight. Don´t leave bags, backpacks, purses, cellphones, or cameras without someone taking care of them. The soccer complex is closed to the public. BA Cup is not responsible for any act of theft or property damage that occurs to players, coaches or fans during the tournament.
ENTERING THE BARCELO FIELDS
Barcelo does not allow anyone who is not a guest to enter the property. BA Cup does not allow anyone to attend games or special tournament events unless they have purchased a package (applies to games, opening ceremony, transportation, etc.).
AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION
Upon exiting customs and baggage claim, please look for a sign at the airport with the BA CUP logo to identify the transportation agency´s representative who will take you the hotel.

February is considered one of the best times to visit the Dominican Republic, offering warm, dry, and sunny weather with comfortable humidity levels, making it ideal for beach vacations and outdoor activities.
