NUMBER OF PLAYERS PER TEAM

 

Teams registered in the 11 vs 11 age groups are allowed to have up to 20 registered players on the team and are permitted 7 substitutions per game (players are not allowed to reenter the field after being subbed).
Teams registered in the 9 vs 9 age groups are allowed to have up to 18 registered players on the team and are permitted unlimited substitutions (players can enter and reenter the game).
Teams registered in the 7 vs 7 age groups are allowed to have up to 15 registered players on the team and are permitted unlimited substitutions (players can enter and reenter the game).

MANDATORY DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED

 

All players are required to verify their age by presenting their passport, visa, or national identification card. Age controls take place during the coaches meeting and team check-in. Each coach or team representative is required to present a photocopy of one of the required documents for each player. Additionally, each player is required to present a copy of a doctor’s physical exam performed no more than 3 months before the tournament start date

NUMBER OF TEAMS IN THE TOURNAMENT

 

Although we would like to accept each team in the tournament, due to space limitations, teams will only be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Participation in the tournament is confirmed after we receive the team’s initial payment. BA Cup has a maximum number of local teams allowed to participate in the tournament

PLAYER EXCEPTIONS

 

Each team is allowed to register two players up to one year over age (except for the 2014-2015 / 2016-2017 , age groups and the girls age groups).Each player is allowed to play on two teams in two different age groups when (1) he/she meets the age requirements and (2) is officially registered on each team. Players are not allowed to play on two teams in the same age group. Girls are allowed to play on boys’ teams in the 2007-2008 age group and below. All players must have valid ID’s.

RULES OF PLAY

 

1. BA CUP WILL BE PLAYED IN ACCORDANCE TO ALL APPLICABLE FIFA REGULATIONS.
2. EACH AGE GROUP IS MADE UP OF GROUPS OF 3,4, OR 5 TEAMS PER GROUP.
3. EACH TEAM WILL PLAY AGAINST ALL THE OTHER TEAMS IN THEIR GROUPS(5 GAMES IN THE GROUP ROUND)

If two or more teams have the same number of points after the group round, group position will be determined in the following manner:

  • GOAL DIFFERENTIAL
  • MOST GOALS SCORED
  • RESULTS OF THE GAMES PLAYED BETWEEN TIED TEAM
  • PENALTIES ACCORDING TO FIFA REGULATIONS

EACH AGE GROUP IS PERMITTED 5 MINUTES IN BETWEEN HALVES. HALF TIME LENGTH IS THE SAME IN THE FIRST AND SECOND ROUNDS OF THE TOURNAMENT.

TEAMS FAILING TO SHOW UP TO THE GAME OR ARRIVING LATE WILL AUTOMATICALLY LOSE THE GAME WITH A 3-0 RESULT (11VS11) AND 5-0 RESULT (7V7) AWARDED TO THE TEAM THAT HAS SHOWED UP ON TIME AND IS ABLE TO PRESENT A FULL TEAM. 10-MINUTE MAXIMUM WAIT TIME FOR LATE TEAMS.
BA CUP IS ABLE TO MODIFY THE GAME SCHEDULE BASED ON TOURNAMENT LOGISTICS, NUMBER OF TEAMS, AND/OR WEATHER CONDITIONS.

YELLOW CARDS ARE NOT CUMULATIVE AMONG GAMES

PLAYERS AWARDED A RED CARD WILL BE SUSPENDED MINIMUM ONE GAME

FURTHER SUSPENSION FROM PLAY WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE REFEREE

BEHAVIOR REGULATIONS

We understand that soccer is a game filled with emotions such as joy, sadness, nervousness, tension, and euphoria. Showing these emotions is an exciting part of the game as long as they are manifested in a respectful manner, without the intention to offend or harm anyone.
BA Cup requires that the coaching staff, families, and guests maintain these behavioral standards listed above.

For this reason, if any referees or BA Cup staff members detect unwanted behavior from teams, they will inform the team’s responsible parties who are required to assure that the behavior stops and is not repeated. If poor behavior continues, the team will automatically lose the points of the game and runs the risk of being disqualified from the tournament.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

1.

The tournament takes place on synthetic grass fields. Players may choose to use turf shoes or regular rubber cleats.

2.

Each team must provide two different color jerseys, or one jersey and one set of bibs.

3.

All players must use shin guards.

4.

Each player is required to have Medical Insurance.

5.

Photocopy of a passport, visa, or national ID card.

6.

BA Cup is not responsible for problems arising from earthquakes, hurricanes, other natural disasters, pandemics, public health problems, airline cancelations or delays, acts or consequences of vandalism, terrorism, social commotion, strikes, manifestations, elections, and/or any other unforeseen, justifiable incidences including immigration problems that affect a team’s ability to participate in the tournament or receive the contracted tournament services.

Refunds: Any teams soliciting refunds for hotel, transportation, and meal packages, are required to send us a written request to cancel at least 90 days prior to their departure date.

 

PERMITTED CLEATS:

1. Indoor cleats with small rubber soles and studs are permitted (typically used in indoor soccer or on synthetic grass).
2. Regulation cleats with rubber or plastic studs are permitted (cleats used for natural grass fields).

SHOE TYPE BASED ON FIELD:

The tournament will be held on 6 different FIFA grade synthetic fields. Each player can choose his or her cleat preference.
